This is the plan for my front cover and
This is the existing front cover of the magazine 'VIBE' which i have based my magazine on. Looking back at my draft of my front cover I can see that in order to make my magazine front cover look more professional, i need to arrange my layout so that it fits more with what this magazine on the left has on it. So firstly, the masthead of the magazine is very large, and when i actually create my front cover the masthead will also be of a substantial size. Also, the image that is on the cover is slightly covered at the top, by the masthead, and on my magazine i think that i will also put my image slightly underneath the text. However, the image could also go over the masthead, meaning it would cover it slightly, so that only parts of it would be visible. I decided that this magazine was a good one to base my magazine because it has good layout and a good amount of text, without being overcrowded. I planned to have headings and text on both the left and the rught hand side of the page, because i thought that it would make the page look more attractive, which i still think could work well, because on the 'VIBE' magazine, there is headings on both sides of the page, and they make the cover look more appealing and stand out more to the audience, so therefore, i think that if i do this for my magazine then it will make it much more professional looking. Also, another point that i have noticed when comparing my draft for my cover with this professional front cover, is the fonts that have been used on it, eg colour and size. The masthead is very bold and bright, and the black and white effect of the image collaborate well with the red title.
